How Disclo onboards customers to enterprise-ready HRIS and ATS integrations in minutes via Merge

Disclo factsheet
We can connect to a customer’s HRIS or ATS during their first 30-minute onboarding call through Merge. This creates a ‘wow’ moment and sets the tone for the partnership.
Building dozens of integrations in-house would slow their go-to-market
Disclo, the only SaaS platform built to help companies manage workplace accommodations at scale, needed robust HRIS connectivity as part of its launch strategy.
According to Kai Keane, Disclo's co-founder and CPO:
“We needed reliable access to core employee data to power key workflows, like verifying eligibility context and streamlining accommodation requests, without pulling engineers off our core product.”
Instead of building and maintaining a growing list of point-to-point integrations, Disclo sought a unified API approach that could deliver coverage quickly, support evolving customer needs, and keep privacy and ADA confidentiality at the center.
“Merge was the only partner that could give us both HRIS and ATS integrations from day one. That combination, along with their provider partnerships, made it clear they were the right choice to support where our product was headed” says Kai.
Implementing HRIS and ATS integrations quickly with Merge’s Unified API
With Merge, Disclo was able to launch dozens of HRIS and ATS integrations in a short period, enabling coverage for nearly every system their prospects and customers requested.
Disclo showcases these integrations on their website and in-app directory, giving customers clear visibility into what’s available and what’s coming next.

Here’s how the integrations work
1. An admin logs into Disclo and opens the Integrations area to access the integration library.
2. After selecting an integration, Merge Link—a guided authentication UI—walks the admin through secure connection steps.

3. Once authenticated, Disclo begins an initial read-only sync.
HRIS integrations populate fields such as full name, job title, department, work email, employment type, and start date. This data also gets re-synced on a regular cadence (usually every few hours).

For ATS integrations—which support Disclo Hire, the global accommodations platform for jobseekers and talent acquisition—candidate context is synced, which includes full names, interview stages, schedules, and hiring statuses. Candidate data also refreshes regularly.
Here’s how the integrated HRIS data supports Disclo’s users:
- Streamlined user provisioning: When a new employee is added to the HRIS, they are automatically synced into Disclo. This means HR doesn’t need to file IT tickets or manually create accounts—employees simply appear in the system and can log in to request an accommodation right away
- Accurate context for reviews: Case managers review accommodation requests alongside enriched role and org details, helping them assess requests more effectively

- Responsible de-provisioning: When an employee exits the company and is removed from the HRIS, workforce access to Disclo is suspended. Former employees may retain a personal, view-only login to their own accommodation history, consistent with policy and law
Here’s how Disclo uses the integrated ATS data:
- Provisioning aligned to recruiting: When a candidate enters the interview stage in the ATS, they're automatically added to Disclo Hire. This gives talent teams a seamless way to include candidates in the accommodation process without manual setup
- Automated inclusion prompts: As soon as a candidate is detected in the interview stage, Disclo sends a neutral, accessibility-first email inviting them to request interview accommodations. This ensures candidates are proactively given the opportunity to engage, rather than relying on them to ask
These integrations use read-only directory and recruiting data. Disclo doesn't write medical information or accommodation responses back into HRIS or ATS systems. Within Disclo, PHI and medical documentation are segregated and protected with role-based, least-privilege access—helping employers comply with ADA confidentiality requirements.
A best-in-class experience for customers—and Disclo’s engineers
By using Merge, Disclo accelerates time-to-value for its customers.
“We can connect to a customer’s HRIS or ATS during their first 30-minute onboarding call through Merge. This creates a ‘wow’ moment and sets the tone for the partnership,” says Kai.
Merge’s ecosystem has also helped Disclo strengthen partnerships with major HRIS providers.
For example, Merge’s post-sales team helped Disclo accelerate its partnership application with UKG by several months, allowing them to not only offer an integration with UKG Pro but also get listed on their public marketplace. This makes it easier for buyers to discover and adopt Disclo.
In the rare case that a system is not yet supported by Merge, Disclo can still assign engineers to build a direct integration. Having seen the time investment required, the team has a clear sense of the value Merge provides.
“Merge enables us to avoid hiring an engineering team that’s dedicated to building and maintaining integrations. As a result, we save more than $500k of engineering costs per year” explains Kai.
Looking ahead, Disclo plans to explore Merge’s upcoming enterprise MCP offering to allow Disclo’s future AI agents to securely fetch non-PHI reference data—like policy guidelines and similar past accommodations—via tool calls. This will help shorten research time and provide next-step recommendations, with humans always remaining in the loop.
